Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified in HPE HP-UX CIFS
server using Samba. The vulnerabilities can be exploited remotely to allow
authentication bypass, code execution, and unauthorized access.

– CVE-2017-11103 – Samba, authentication bypass
– CVE-2017-2619 – Samba, remote unauthorized access

**Workaround for CVE-2017-7494**
Add the below parameter to the [global] section of smb.conf file and restart
smbd. This prevents clients from accessing any named pipe endpoints.
nt pipe support = no
**Note:** This can disable some expected functionality for Windows clients.
**CVE-2017-2619** does not impact PA-RISC systems.
**CVE-2017-11103** does not impact PA-RISC systems.
